Baan Chang Thai (House of Thai Artisans) opened on the 4th of November in 1996 with an official visit by HRH Princess Sirindhorn Mahachakri. Baan Chang Thai was founded by Acharn Kridakorn Sodprasert with an aim to preserve the essence of the traditional knowledge in Thai puppet making traditional Thai painting and rather than to preserve the objects themselves. Therefore, aside from producing fine art works there are also other types of Thai arts for those who seek to learn them.
