Baan Chang Thai was founded by Acharn Kridakorn Sodprasert with an aim to preserve the essence of the traditional knowledge in Thai puppet making traditional Thai painting and rather than to preserve the objects themselves. Therefore, aside from producing fine art works there are also other types of Thai arts for those who seek to learn them.baanchangthaihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13870051318895848332noreply@blogger.comBlogger125125tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2102323266698168243.post-22464060522049156402017-11-19T10:24:00.001-08:002017-11-19T10:24:25.808-08:00Learn Muay Thai Online<iframe allowfullscreen="" frameborder="0" height="270" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/B8jQcYAAV_I" width="480"></iframe>baanchangthaihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13870051318895848332noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2102323266698168243.post-45017201684306317072015-02-02T08:10:00.001-08:002015-02-02T08:10:04.193-08:00มวยไชยา Muay Chaiya Fight (Tang vs Gik)<iframe allowfullscreen="" frameborder="0" height="270" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/Bm4wV_3a06U" width="480"></iframe>baanchangthaihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13870051318895848332noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2102323266698168243.post-61069256210605685472015-01-31T10:58:00.001-08:002015-01-31T10:58:11.534-08:00มวยไชยา Muay Chaiya Fight (Pom vs John)<iframe allowfullscreen="" frameborder="0" height="270" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/siRIrux4KXg" width="480"></iframe>baanchangthaihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13870051318895848332noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2102323266698168243.post-19646711581202763022015-01-31T10:46:00.001-08:002015-01-31T10:46:25.789-08:00เปิดโปงครูมัด มวยไชยา 2<iframe allowfullscreen="" frameborder="0" height="270" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/k3fFO8-p-k8" width="480"></iframe>baanchangthaihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13870051318895848332noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2102323266698168243.post-42962085890526433512014-07-14T05:45:00.001-07:002014-07-14T05:46:14.504-07:00Muay Chaiya Fight (Yee vs Big Pete 2)<div dir="ltr" style="text-align: left;" trbidi="on">

In the past when they fought, fighters would bind their fists with rope. This was to protect the bones in the backs of their hands, by making their fists tight and strong.<br />
<br />
Muay Chaiya wrapped the hands up to the wrists. While central Muay and Muay Lopburi wrapped to the middle of the forearm, and Northeastern Muay wrapped all the way up to the elbow.<br />
<br />
Mr.Tup Jamkor for example used to wrap his arms up to the elbow in a pattern called Kaeng Sing (Lion’s Shin) to protect the bone along the back of the arm, hand and fingers.<br />

When we train in fighting we should also practice with the same focus and commitment.</span></div>baanchangthaihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13870051318895848332noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2102323266698168243.post-37092529748704059032012-05-06T03:12:00.001-07:002012-05-06T03:15:38.649-07:00Muay Chaiya sparring (Nut vs Kentin 4)<div dir="ltr" style="text-align: left;" trbidi="on">

<div class="MsoNormal"> In the past, as part of temple celebrations, they would erect a ring and hold fights in the temple courtyard. They would raise the ground and put up ropes in a square, with a judge at each corner. To count the round, they would take a coconut shell and drill a hole, then place it in a barrel of water. When the shell is full of water and sinks, the round is over. <o:p></o:p></div><div class="MsoNormal"><br />
</div><div class="MsoNormal"> The judges would not interfere with the fight, as they respected the fighters and that they knew when to attack, how to lure the opponent, and how long to wai kru. <o:p></o:p></div><div class="MsoNormal"><br />
</div><div class="MsoNormal"> For example, in a day with five fights, if in the first fight one of the fighters was knocked out, he would be carried out of the ring to rest. The rest of the fighters would then fight until the end of the fifth pair. The first two fighters would then be asked if they would like to fight again, if they approved, then they would fight again. <o:p></o:p></div><div class="MsoNormal"><br />
</div><div class="MsoNormal"> This meant that a knock out didn’t mean loss. The word lose meant to surrender, so if you woke up still wanted to fight, it meant you could fight. This is how they would fight in the past.</div></div>baanchangthaihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13870051318895848332noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2102323266698168243.post-76668859074774178132012-03-13T00:06:00.002-07:002012-03-13T00:09:30.918-07:00Tips of Muay Thai Chaiya TV 3<div dir="ltr" style="text-align: left;" trbidi="on"><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiHU5ZTG-RmQY-cEVgIu5DqRBrVFEwSGtWHoHkpFp8BdEvobE4Q8w3af6j_1bKpUrxIpQz-VOYB-xV7u8YjIYIzujDpxahWdwSTYlcemSUoEQMLels7rabtgFSXYqn9KLbKNlRNG_QSMDU/s1600/3.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiHU5ZTG-RmQY-cEVgIu5DqRBrVFEwSGtWHoHkpFp8BdEvobE4Q8w3af6j_1bKpUrxIpQz-VOYB-xV7u8YjIYIzujDpxahWdwSTYlcemSUoEQMLels7rabtgFSXYqn9KLbKNlRNG_QSMDU/s320/3.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><br />

<div class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family: Tahoma, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"> Once, during the time when Master Khet Siriyapai was still training in fighting, he <o:p></o:p></span></div><div class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family: Tahoma, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">was watching Gran Master Gimseng Taweesit teach his students how to defend against a kick using the palm of his hand. Master Khet was still a teenager, and so he asked Grand Master Gimseng “If I kick as fast as the wind blows, can you still defend it?” Gran Master Gimseng replied by asking “How many footballs have you burst with your kick?”, to which Master Khet replied “I have burst two footballs with my kick.”<br />
<br />
Grand Master Gimseng then said “Kick me”. He defended three fast hard kicks from Master Khet, after the third however, Master Khet also threw a punch. Grand Master Gimseng countered this with a palm strike to the chin, dropping Master Khet to the floor. Grand Master Gimseng then asked “The wind has stopped blowing has it?”, to which Master Khet put up his hands and humbly bowed “Yes, the wind has stopped.”<br />
<br />
This is part of the history of Grand Master Gimseng and Master Khet before they where student and teacher. Things need to be tested before they are really known. </span></div></div>baanchangthaihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13870051318895848332noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2102323266698168243.post-77442845430708553492012-03-02T00:50:00.002-08:002012-03-02T00:52:28.929-08:00Muay Thai Chaiya TV Episode 67<div dir="ltr" style="text-align: left;" trbidi="on"><iframe allowfullscreen="" frameborder="0" height="344" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/vwJhQZsGA90?fs=1" width="459"></iframe><br />
